Product overwiew
Cryptob is a web platform for automated crypto investing. Users connect exchange accounts to run vetted trading bots and monitor performance in one place. I owned Product Design and partly Product Management .
Task
Design and ship a secure, trustworthy automation platform that demystifies crypto concepts, makes bot selection transparent, and keeps non-experts in control.
Objective challenges
Trust & clarity: Overcome crypto skepticism with transparent performance, risk labels, and plain-language UX.
Security: Safe exchange connections (API keys with least privilege), 2FA, session/device controls.
Comprehension: Explain technical terms (leverage, drawdown, API scopes) in human language.
Safety rails: Guardrails for allocation, risk warnings, and “what happens next” previews.
My role
Led discovery → IA → UX/UI, shaped risk/permission model with engineering, and defined content patterns.
Result
Shipped a secure bot-connection flow (API key scopes, copy-paste checks, revoke/reset).
Delivered trust-first portfolio UI: audited bot cards, historic equity curves, risk badges, fees spelled out, and clear “Stop/Pause” controls.
Built education-in-context: inline definitions, explorable examples, and guided onboarding that translates crypto jargon to plain speech.
Established a cohesive visual system that feels credible and reduces cognitive load.
