Design challenge and responsibilities overview

Product overwiew

HeyHorse is a hub for barns, riders, and trainers to organize horses, people, and schedules. It streamlines events, tasks, and communication, with an AI assistant that understands equestrian workflows and keeps plans in sync.

Task

Reduce onboarding friction and make complex equestrian scheduling—horses, lessons, shows, repeats, roles, and privacy—feel simple and predictable across the app.

Objective challenges

  • Complex scheduling: lessons/rides/shows, repeats, horse & participant assignment, privacy states—without clutter.

  • Onboarding: move first-time users from “what is this?” to a working barn setup fast.

  • Invites & membership: links/email with clear roles and auto-connections.

  • Signal vs noise: notification timing/copy that informs without overwhelm.

  • Consistency at scale: unify flows/copy/edge cases so every screen behaves predictably.

My role

Product Manager & Product Designer. Owned AI assistant flows, calendar/recurrence UX, onboarding, invite/membership logic, notifications, and copy/system consistency end-to-end.

Result

  • Faster first value: users reach a scheduled event with horse + participant in fewer steps.

  • Cleaner scheduling: fewer clarification loops; AI summaries confirm details before posting.

  • Smoother collaboration: frictionless invites grow barns; participants see only what matters.

  • Operational clarity: unified patterns/copy reduce ambiguity and speed future feature delivery.
